PEDIATRIC PHYSICAL THERAPY

Pediatric Physical Therapy (PT) is the profession that helps children with movement, overall strengthening, endurance, balance, and motor planning. Physical Therapy addresses postural imbalances, limited movement and/or range of motion, gait deviations, orthotic needs, equipment needs, and delays with gross motor milestones (crawling, walking, running, etc.).

Children may benefit from PT if they:

  • have difficulty rolling, crawling, walking, or running

  • exhibit poor balance and/or coordination

  • fall frequently

  • have poor posture

  • have poor strength or endurance

  • have too high / too low muscle tone
